Our story
Established on February 7, 2021, Red Sea Drilling Company S.A.S. was founded to support the development of Djibouti’s geothermal potential and natural resources.
As a subsidiary of the Djiboutian Office for Geothermal Energy Development (ODDEG), RSDC has quickly positioned itself as a leading player in the drilling sector, with a strategic focus on energy and mining projects of national importance.
Since its inception, the company has built strong technical partnerships with international industry leaders, enhancing its expertise and strengthening its ability to deliver complex projects in full compliance with international standards and best practices.

The Company’s mission is to provide a wide range of expertise in the research and development of energy and natural resources—water and mining in particular—with a strong focus on geothermal exploration and natural hydrogen in the Republic of Djibouti and across the region, through the delivery of engineering services and the deployment of innovative technological solutions.
